Since their official debut of “Bang” on OWSLA in 2015, Texas-based trio WAVEDASH have quickly amassed a following within electronic music thanks in large part to a meticulous attention to detail in their dynamic, youthful, and often turbulent productions. Taking inspiration from icons like Porter Robinson, Rustie, and early supporter Skrillex, Luke, Michael, and Gavin have developed a refreshing musical style for WAVEDASH that incorporates the guys’ strengths in clean sound design and a healthy blend of heavy & melodic elements. This has led to heavy support from folks like Kill the Noise and Excision, official remix taps from DJ Snake and RL Grime, and a growing list of festival appearances including EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal.
Following the release of their debut EP, Hundred, in 2017 which featured standout cuts “Like That” and “Off Leash”, the young trio continued their rapid progression in 2018 with a collaboration with Slander, “Move Back”, on Insomniac Records and their EP, Devil Music, on Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo imprint. They followed this up with “Grave”, another huge collaboration with NGHTMRE that was released on Mad Decent. Their latest EP, Opening Ceremony, was the first release on NGHTMRE and Slander’s new joint label, Gud Vibrations. Last fall, they also headed out on a 20+ date North American tour with Slander. With plenty of new music in the barrel and more touring booked than ever, WAVEDASH are poised to continue on their upward trajectory in electronic music this year. Keep an eye out.
