Hayden James released his first track in early 2013, circulating amongst the masses and generating well into the millions of plays across Soundcloud and Youtube. His individualistic approach to producing summer jams featuring euphonious and evocative vocals quickly allowed him to find his niche. Nowadays, with a sound unparalleled to any other emerging producer, Hayden was quick to be titled the 'face of the new Australian production scene'.
Hayden's first single "Permission to Love" accumulated global praise and recognition hitting #1 on the well renowned Hype Machine blog as well as soon becoming the most played tract on Australia's most reputable national broadcasting giant, Triple J. When Hayden released his first debut EP through tastemaker label, Future Classic it was apparent that Hayden had captured the hearts and ears of his global audience, however nobody was prepared for the immense success that would come from Hayden's hit single 'Something About You' which dropped early 2015 on the label's annual compilation album.
'Something About You' took the world by a whirlwind and hit certified Gold sales within Australia by the end 0f 2015. The track infiltrated the top 40 throughout Europe, being particularly well received in countries such as Germany, France and Italy. Meanwhile, back at home the track was fast tracked through the charts and went onto win best dance release at the AIR awards, Stoney Roads awards and InTheMix awards. The track was also dubbed a nomination for the Best Dance Release at the ARIA awards.
Through the Summer, Hayden hit the road for his sensational 'Something About You' national tour playing sold out shows all over Australia. This subsequently led onto Hayden jetting off to the Northern Hemisphere for his debut headline US tour, including his first performance ever at the Coachella festival and a support tour with Odesza. Late 2015 saw his first European Tour taking in shows at Lollapolooza (Berlin) Lowlands, Reading and Leads festivals as well as a slew of other festival slots.
