Enjoy Local Fare from the Green Street Farmers Market

Support the Chicago area’s sustainable food movement by treating yourself to a local delight from the new Green Street Farmers Market, located between Buckingham Fountain and the main entrance to Lollapalooza.

Abe Lincoln sits proudly overlooking the hard work of local farmers, artisanal producers, and restaurants that come together for your enjoyment. Bring a blanket from home or grab a blanket from the General Store in the Art Market, and enjoy a relaxing picnic in this new addition to Lollapalooza! Click here for a list of the delectable delights you’ll find in the Farmers Market.

Rock & Recycle

Pitch in and be part of Lolla’s commitment to being kind to Grant Park and the environment. Visit any one of the four Rock & Recycle Centers (for locations, see the map) to pick up a bag to collect designated recyclables. Return the filled bag to any R&R Center and you'll be rewarded with a limited edition Lollapalooza t-shirt (featuring all the bands listed on the back!). You will also be eligible to register for a new bike! Click here for more information on the Lolla Rock & Recycle Program.

Lolla Cares

Click here to see how the organizations featured in Lolla Cares enhance Chicago, clean disasters, save lives, and encourage you to take action. Lollapalooza supports many nonprofits committed to making this world a better place, so stop by to see how you can help support the cause. Who knows, you might even win a bike!

Offset Your Carbon Footprint

Buy your $3 Lollapalooza Green Mountain Energy Fan Tag® and offset your festival travel. Thanks to our partner Green Mountain, you’ll walk away with a cool souvenir of your good act and the priceless satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped neutralize your impact on Mother Earth.

What’s a carbon offset, you may ask? Watch this short clip and you’ll soon know.

Together we can make a big difference. In 2009, 4,000 Lolla fans ponied up for a Fan Tag, helping to avoid 2.5 million tons of C02.

This has the same environmental impact as:

  • Not driving your car over 2.8 million miles per year
  • Taking 224 cars off the road
  • Sequestering over 150,0000 trees annually
  • Recycling more than 6 million aluminum cans
  • Recycling over 1 million lbs. of newspaper

Our goal for Lolla 2010: 7,000 Fan Tags. Stop by Green Mountain in Green Street to purchase your Fan Tag on the spot, or choose to offset your carbon impact when you purchase your Lolla ticket online. Help us make a difference.
