Hey yall, just wanted to say hello since this is my first post on here.

I messaged CSS the other night on myspace, and today they messaged me back and confirmed that they WILL BE at Lollapalooza 08. They also mentioned something about a new album too! soo be on the lookout for that!

this is a great board and I'm glad to finally be a member of this, having attended lolla 07!

Cool. I was bummed I didn't get to see them last year, so hopefully this is true.

Too many damn rumors.

haha, I have no reason to lie to you. all I did was get on myspace and message them, not expecting anything back.

it makes sense though considering their flight was overbooked last year and everyone had to see matt and kim instead :(
lucky for me, I was over at I'm From Barcelona. One of my favorite performers last year.

That's impressive!  I still haven't figured out how to split myself into 9 parts to be front row at every Lolla stage.  Let me know your secret.

well we did 3 stages, thats all we were worried about.

Friday was the Daft Punk stage all day.
Saturday Was The Roots Stage for most of the day and then the stage with YYY's
Sunday Was that same stage, and then !!! and TVOTR.

it was pretty fun, I picked up some setlists along the way, so it was pretty cool

Yeah, I'd rather have the freedom to switch stages all day and see more bands.

We didn't get to the AT&T Stage until 10 minutes before YYY's on Saturday and still got along the rail just in front of the sound booth for Muse. Primo spot, IMO.

Agreed. Also, I can't stand still for more than 10 minutes.

Seriously...enjoy the festival a bit!! It's no fun to be stuck up at the stage all day, cause you're afraid of losing your spot!!

I got front row at Muse last year..  I was only there from CYHSY onward, so I don't think we made too much of a sacrifice.

Anyhow, YAY for CSS!

so I don't think we made too much of a sacrifice.

You missed Lenny Kaye, the genius who put out the first "Nuggets" collection, playing guitar twice.

Nuggets was a lot of people's first introduction to what would eventually become punk rock.

i don't know... i waited all day friday for daft punk and it was the best show i've ever seen. too bad jack's mannecrap was at that stage on friday- somehow i've seen that joke-of-a-band three times, and i don't even like them. anyways, waiting all day for one band that you've been dying to see is better than seeing a bunch of bands you don't really care about really far from the stage. yet, i would not suggest camping out in front of the at&t stage all day just so you can say you were front row for a headliner-- it's hot as hell, you can't pee, you can't smoke, and basically cannot leave (i'm not bitter).

oh, and it's pretty easy to push yourself to the front if you show up two sets before a headlining act- that's what i did for muse.

Sooo...you're basically saying that you wasted your Friday, since you were able to get back there on Saturday.

And you missed things like the Polyphonic Spree, the Rapture (band, not biblical event) and LCD Soundsystem.

I looked up both Nuggets and Lenny Kaye, for those people who are not familiar with either.  The picture that wikipedia uses for Lenny is from last year's Lollapalooza!
