That's huge.  If that is 4 of the 5 headliners, I think this will be the year that Lollapalooza sell all the tickets.

Rage brings a negative element in my opinion, but I like a lot of their music.  I also thought that the City of Chicago had an issue with them playing last year.


DeRo leaked Pearl Jam last year and it turned out to be true so, Yes he is credible.

I remember a contest Lolla had in 2006 (maybe 2005) where you were supposed to come up with new words to describe the Lolla experience.

Sorry, I probably should have clarified who Dero is for those of you who don't live in Chicago.

He works with Greg Kot on NPR's Sound Opinions and is a writer for the Chicago Sun Times. 

I also wouldn't be impressed if Rage was on the bill, but I thought I would throw it out there.   I was under the impression that Beastie Boys and Foo were going to be added but who knows! 

I love this time of year with all the crazy rumors!

If this it true, I hope the 5th headliner is someone I really like...because right now, while the trio of NIN-RATM-Wilco is impressive, it doesn't do much for me.

If the festival has Radiohead, NIN, AND Rage, won't the ticket price go up significantly?  This is very inconsistent with the status of their headliners in the past, so I'm not buying it right now.

well, the headliner quality has been steadily increasing since the festival began. maybe this is just the next step. for all we know they may have decided to shit all over ACL and bring all the goods to chicago [8D]

If RATM really does headline one night then I might honestly consider selling my ticket unless they have excellent mid-tier bands. I don't want that shit at Lollapalooza.

Just for reference guys, Rage was originally booked to play the now postponed Vineland Music Festival. So they had an opening and were probably looking for a replacement festival.
