Blue 13 is a collaborative project between long-time friends Chris Curren and Dan Marunowski, who drew upon their past fine dining experience to create a truly unique contemporary American dining destination. Mazzone's Italian Ice was created in 1959 by Robert Mazzone. It began as a small shop in Cicero, IL with 3 small batch freezers that could produce a total of 9 gallons of product per hour. The beginning was a struggle, especially since Robert quit his steady paying union electrician job to start a business producing a product few in the chicago area were familiar with. However, the risk paid off! Over the years and many small expansions Mazzones became a major player in the national school feeding business and manufactured products for Jenny Craig, American and United airlines, Olive Garden, and grocery chains to name a few. The company grew with many small expansions and at the peak of production could produce 9 gallons of product per MINUTE. Original Rainbow Cone
Original Rainbow Cone has been a Southside Chicago staple for the past 85 years. Robinson's No. 1 Ribs
Robinson's No. 1 Ribs was created after Charlie Robinson won the first Mike Royko Rib Challenge in Chicago in 1982, beating over 400 other contestants, including the sponsor - Mike Royko. Due to continuing demand for the "best ribs in town", Robinson's No. 1 Ribs was incorporated in 1983, and Robinson's Barbecue Sauce Co. shortly thereafter. We now have four Chicagoland locations including our headquarters in Oak Park, IL.

A "surfer girl from California," Chef Wallack found her calling while at the beach. "I met Lisa Stalvey who was the chef de cuisine at the original Spago," she recalls. "Two weeks later, I found myself working for her." Chef Wallack's love of food led to her role as sous chef at Los Angeles' Camelions; and then private chef for the Hollywood set, including James Garner and Jack Nicholson. Chef Wallack left L.A. for Chicago to open the acclaimed Wrigleyville restaurant Deleece, which was known for amazing food with great service. Chef Wallack ran and operated Deleece for years before opening sola. While the beach may not be on Chicago's Lincoln Avenue, Chef Wallack's highly original sola is an oasis featuring the fresh, bold flavors of the sea with Hawaiian and Asian influences.

River Valley Kitchens
River Valley Kitchens has been in business since 1976, growing and marketing the freshest fresh mushrooms to the Chicago area. They supply a number of well known restaurants in Chicago, and attend more than 30 farmers markets per week. They grow without chemicals or pesticides and were recently certified organic. Additionally, they grow a wide variety of vegetables, including tomatoes, asparagus, onions and shallots, potatoes, peppers,sweet and hot, winter squash and pumpkins, also chemical and pesticide free. River Valley has a small processing kitchen on the farm where they produce more than 40 different salsa, pasta sauces, pickled mushrooms, and dips.
