We’re adding an exciting artistic element to Lolla 2014, and couldn’t be more excited about it!
In partnership with Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), we’re launching Art Alliance: The Provocateurs. One of the largest shows of its kind, Art Alliance is set to feature a range of artists from around the world who will be showcasing their work together for the first time under one roof.
These trailblazers of the art world will include Shepard Fairey, Swoon, HAZE, Mark Mothersbaugh, Stanley Donwood, Winston Smith, RETNA, Monica Canilao, Invader, DZINE, Camile Rose Garcia, Cleon Peterson, D*Face and WK Interact, among many others.
Art is increasingly about straddling worlds. That makes it a natural fit for music, which is doing a lot of the same things.
Art Alliance will be taking over Block Thirty Seven – a beautiful space encompassing an entire city block in the heart of the Loop, a short walk from Grant Park.
But that’s not all. A portion of all ticket sales at the door will be donated to Chicago Art Partnerships In Education (CAPE), an organization which inspires students to be passionate about their education by weaving visual and performing arts into their classroom lessons.
The gallery will be open during the day (July 31 – August 4, 2014) to the general public. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, with a special discount for Lolla attendees. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting first year event!
