2014 Top Festival Tips


Before you head over to Grant Park this Friday, be sure to register your wristband and sign up for Lolla Cashless. Wristband registration ensures a smooth process when entering the festival each day and makes sure that your investment remains yours. And Lolla Cashless? It’s about to rock your weekend.     By now you should have received your 2014 Lolla wristband in the mail, but in case you have any ticket-related questions, you can get all the info you need in the Tickets section of our FAQs Page.

    The Festival Box Office, Guest List and Will Call are located on the Northeast corner of Michigan Avenue and Van Buren Street. If you’re searching for it, type in “East Van Buren and South Michigan Avenue”.

    2014 Box Office Hours are as follows:

    Wednesday, 7/30: 3PM – 8PM
    Thursday, 7/31: 3PM – 8PM
    Friday, 8/1: 10AM – 10PM
    Saturday, 8/2: 10AM – 10PM
    Sunday, 8/3: 10AM – 10PM

    Counterfeit Wristband Alert: All Three-Day, Single-Day, and VIP Passes to Lollapalooza 2014 are sold-out. All wristbands contain RFID technology and will be authenticated upon entering the gates. Lollapalooza organizers do not condone purchasing passes from secondary markets, and ask fans to beware of purchasing counterfeit wristbands. Passes purchased from any source besides Lollapalooza.com or Front Gate Tickets may not be honored at the gates.


    The safety and security of our fans is our top priority. Please be aware that ALL bags will be searched each time attendees enter the festival grounds. This will require more time during the entry process. We ask all attendees to plan ahead to allow extra time entering the festival. For faster entry, Express Lanes at both the North and Main entrances are available for those not carrying a bag. See here for a full list of prohibited items.


    Before you head out to the festival grounds, take a look at our list of Festival DOs and DON’Ts. Get the basic info on re-entry/ins & outs and other need-to-know details, so that you can focus on what matters most – the music!


    Now that you’re mobile device is loaded up with the ultimate Lolla must-have (see above), get an even bigger head start on the weekend by getting to know the Grant Park layout. Prep yourself for the three-day music party and map the key locations around the park like Chow Town, Green Street, Kidza and more to make the most of your weekend!


    While you’re here to enjoy the music, remember that there are several activities all around the park for you to take advantage of between sets.     We’re partnering with Red Bull Media House to bring you the 2014 Lollapalooza Livestream! The livestream will be accessible through Red Bull TV on the web at lollapalooza.redbull.tv, as a pre-installed channel on Apple TV, and as a free, downloadable app on Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, Xbox 360, Chromecast, and iOS and Android devices.

    This won’t be your average webcast experience either. Our Lolla Livestream will feature several channels that viewers can select from, including one hosted stream featuring exclusive artist interviews, unprecedented behind-the-scenes access and festival highlights. PLUS two additional channels capturing live performances from around the five different festival stages for an “all live, all the time” experience!


    Don’t let thirst – or a painful sunburn – put a damper on your weekend! Take advantage of our many CamelBak Filling Stations, bring along two of your own factory-sealed bottles of water, and pack the sunscreen (just not the aerosol kind)!

    If you’re riding a bike to Lollapalooza, bike parking brought to you by Specialized will be available between the main entrance and Balbo Avenue on Michigan Avenue. Specialized will be on hand during the day with mechanics offering free tune-ups. Be sure to bring your own lock!

    Traveling from the suburbs? Metra’s commuter rail system makes it easy. Click here for the scoop on riding Metra to and from Lolla and to see a map of nearby Metra stations. Also, Metra is offering a special $10 unlimited ride train ticket. Available now at all Metra ticket offices, it’s valid on trains scheduled to arrive after 9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 1st, and all day Saturday and Sunday, August 2nd and 3rd.

    Wondering what to do with the kids this weekend? Bring em along! We’ve set up the ideal kid-friendly festival-within-a-festival for you to rock out alongside your little ones. From workshops, activities and all-day music, Kidzapalooza presented by Lifeway will be open daily from 11am to 5pm. And remember— kid 10 and under get into Lolla FREE!


    In partnership with Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), we’re launching Art Alliance: The Provocateurs. One of the largest shows of its kind, Art Alliance will feature a range of artists from around the world who will be showcasing their work together for the first time under one roof.

    Art Alliance will be taking over Block Thirty Seven – a beautiful space encompassing an entire city block in the heart of the Loop, a short walk from Grant Park.
