Robinson's No. 1 Ribs was opened after Charlie Robinson won the Mike Royko Rib Challenge in Chicago in 1982, beating over 400 other contestants. Continuing demand for the "best ribs in town" led Robinson's to incorporate in 1983. Our special seasoning and slow smoking with Hickory wood is the key to our ribs and pulled pork, then adding our 200 year old award winning BBQ Sauce.
