Below are some frequently asked questions regarding the new MyLolla technology available on lollapalooza.com! When you have a MyLolla Account, you save items you care about and we let you know when there has been a change, update or special offer.

WHERE IS MY OLD CUSTOM LINEUP OR SCHEDULE?
So you created a Custom Schedule or Custom Lineup on lollapalooza.com and now you’re worried where it went… If you created it before December 2013, we had to deactivate your account to get ready for the new system. Getting set up with a new MyLolla Account couldn’t be easier!
You can hit any of our Sign Up or Sign In links throughout lollapalooza.com. When you’re ready to step it up and customize your Lolla experience, you’ll be prompted to Sign Up or Sign In to your MyLolla Account. What would we do? First of all, Connect With Facebook so that you can compare and share (read:show off) your favorite parts of the festival with your Facebook friends. And don’t sweat it if you’re not into Facebook, it’s cool to just use your e-mail address.
HOW IS MYLOLLA DIFFERENT THAN MY OLD CUSTOM LINEUP OR SCHEDULE?
It’s way different. Just think — now you can customize every aspect of your festival experience. You can still add bands to your Custom Lineup and create a Custom Schedule, but now you can also add Chow Town food vendors, artisans and organizations from Green Street and even keep up with what your favorite brands are doing throughout the park.
The best part is that we’ll keep tabs on everything for you! The next time you come back to our site, we’ll tell you if something has been updated, changed or announced. If a band comes out with a new music video, a food vendor switches up their menu or sponsor runs a giveaway — we’ll let you know! Or let’s say a band bails on their set or an aftershow starts later than planned — if you added that item to your MyLolla, you’ll be the first to know. Think of it as curating your own updates and alerts.
WHY DO I NEED TO CREATE A MYLOLLA ACCOUNT?
Creating a MyLolla Account is the easiest way to prepare, learn and get updates about every aspect of Lollapalooza – without really doing much of anything. When you have a MyLolla Account, you mark items you care about and we hit you back with noteworthy updates.
We will also use it to let you know about Souvenir Secret Sale dates, on-sale dates, schedule changes and anything else we feel like you NEED to know! It’s as much customization as you want. If you only care about one band, add that one band to your MyLolla and we’ll only update you on that one band. No brainer.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T CREATE A MYLOLLA ACCOUNT?
Well why would you do that now that you know about all its cool features?
Basically, you can continue to use the entire site, listen to the music player, learn about bands, see when they are playing, participate in contests and all that jazz without ever interacting with MyLolla. But again, you’d be missing out (and who wants to do that?) Signing up for MyLolla let you customize and compare your ideal festival weekend and keeps you up-to-date with what’s happening around Grant Park during the weekend. Signing up for MyLolla does not sign you up for our e-mail list.
And no, signing up for MyLolla doesn’t mean we’ll bug you with unwanted updates. You’re in control and you can customize as much as you want to.
WHAT ALL CAN I “ADD” TO MYLOLLA?
Anything that has a “+” or “+ ADD” button. That means, Bands on the Lineup Page or individual Artist Pages, Set Times from the Schedule Page, Vendors appearing on-site at the Festival (Chow Town, Green Street, Sponsor Activations) and any Blog Posts that appear on our Homepage (ticket updates, weekly playlists, special contests and giveaways, etc). Keep an eye out for the “+” or “+ ADD” and make sure to click that button to stay updated with special notifications when you return to lollapalooza.com.
WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I “ADD” SOMETHING TO MYLOLLA?
Once you “+” or “+ ADD” button something to MyLolla, you will see XXX . That means your item has successfully been added to your MyLolla account. From now on, you will receive a special notification about that item every time you return to lollapalooza.com from any of your devices. Want to keep track of a contest you entered? “+” or “+ ADD” that blog post to your MyLolla and we’ll update you when it’s almost over and/or when we announce the winner. Similarly, add a band’s set to your schedule and we’ll keep you in the loop if anything changes or gets canceled.
You can always remove something from MyLolla as quickly as you can add it, just look out for the “-” or “- REMOVE” button.
You can view everything you’ve ever added to MyLolla on your My Festival Page. The quickest way to get there is to XXX.
WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE MUSIC PLAYER?
The music player is like a dedicated Lolla radio station, stocked with a collection of Soundcloud tracks from musicians who have performed at the festival through the years. It will stream continuously as you navigate throughout different pages of the website. You can alsoactivate the player without being signed into MyLolla, by XXX, or by clicking “play” on the Lineup or Schedule Page or any Band’s Page.
We chose Soundcloud to source all music tracks so that the artists could decide what music they wanted to share and so you wouldn’t have to create any other accounts to listen to it. As more artists add tracks to Soundcloud, we’ll add them to lolla.com.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE “E-LIST” AND “MYLOLLA”?
MyLolla is how you customize your entire Lolla experience. It’s how you create a Custom Schedule, Custom Lineup and Custom Festival — anything you add, will be added to your customized MyLolla on lollapalooza.com. If you wish to receive e-mail updates direct to your e-mail Inbox, you can sign up for our E-list on our Connect Page.
