D-Pryde is a rising 19-year-old rapper/singer/songwriter based in Toronto
Canada. The Filipino Canadian talent burst onto the music scene at a young
age with a series of wildly popular “freeverses” covers, and originals that have
gained him a massive and loyal following. With two successful mixtapes under
his belt and a recording/publishing contract with BMG through MarsMG, D-
Pryde is preparing for his debut commercial EP in late Spring and a highly
anticipated album at the end of the year. Often compared to a cross between
Drake, Eminem and Justin Bieber, D-Pryde is being hailed as the next superstar
to come out of Canada.

D-Pryde maintains one of the most impressive fan bases for any young artist.
A relevant force in social media, his reach extends to legions of fans with over
57 million YouTube views and 260,000 YouTube subscribers. He has received
millions of online views for his steady flow of witty content and has over 100,000
Twitter followers and 180,000 Facebook fans.

D-Pryde refers to his music as “Hip-Pop” for his infectious singing melodies
intertwined with clever lyrical delivery. D-Pryde’s heritage and style resonates
with a wide audience and he has been able to bridge the gap between fans
young and old.

In 2011, D-Pyrde secured a coveted spot opening for J Cole’s Canadian tour,
performing at sold out shows consecutive nights. With his music as a central
power in his life, D-Pryde remains close to his family in Toronto but is on a
mission to get his message heard across the globe. “My EP is basically a story of
how my life changed since signing my deal,” said D-Pryde. “I was a kid that grew
up too fast; so with all I learned, I flushed all that knowledge and struggle into
these songs, where my fans continue to grow with me.”

Nominated to the prestigious XXL Freshman 2013 Class List, which recognizes
genuine music talent on the rise, D-Pryde is poised for a huge breakout with a
national and international tour in the works including Lollapalooza in August.
